The Monkey’s Disgrace

Three monkeys sat in a coconut tree

Discussing things as they’re said to be;

Said one to the others, now listen, you two,

There’s a certain rumor that can’t be true:

That man descended from our noble race,

The very idea is a disgrace!

No monkey ever deserted his wife -

Starved her babies and ruined her life;

And you’ve never known a mother monk

To leave her babies with others to bunk,

Or pass them on from one to another,

'Til they scarely know who is their mother.

And another thing you’ll never see;

A monk build a fence ‘round a coconut tree

And let the coconuts go to waste,

Forbidding all other monks to taste.

Why, if I put a fence around a tree,

Starvation would force you to steal from me.

Her’s another thing a monk won’t do;

Go out at night ad get on a stew,

Or use a gun or club or knife

To take some other monkey’s life.

Yes, man descended, the onery cuss;

But, brother, he didn’t descend from us!

What is Happiness??

They say that you will just know if you are happy because you will feel it, but what does it feel like? I have been searching and waiting for that feeling my whole life and I worry that i might have missed it without even knowing it.

Who defines happiness and who has the right to judge one persons happiness over¬†another’s? Maybe the reason why happiness seems so rare is because people are looking for it instead of appreciating it. That is my challenge and goal.

Stop looking for what you think is happiness and start loving the life you live and have!
